Growing the unusual
You can try to sprout seeds for several things that you buy in the supermarket for food.
Try sprouting wheat or rye (although it grows much better outside), try sprouting and growing quinoa or amaranth. You can even sprout and grow sesame, from supermarket seeds.
You can try lentils, chick peas, flaxseed, and even exotic things like goji berry. It´s very easy to grow pomegranates and avocados from seed. Also apples.
Try sweet potatoes if you hang them over a cup of water indoors. Try most of these exotic things indoors and with plenty of sunlight, near a window.
