Nature's online version of the Green Map of Iceland now appears in five languages; Icelandic and English as in previous versions, and now also in; German, Italian and French. Widening the variety of languages on our Green Map means making the vast amount of information on good practices and green opportunities that Iceland has to offer, awailable to a much bigger audience than before.

The German translation was done by Kathrin Schymura, a young physical therapist that has also worked for social projects. The Italian translation was done by Chiara Ferrari Melillo, geographer, environmental educator and specialist in the management of Natural Parks’ development. Chiara did also work with us on the Green map development here in Iceland last summer. The french version was done by Dominique Plédel Jónsson.

Other translators working for Nature.is have been Ingibjörg Elsa Björnsdóttir translating to and from English. Tryggvi Hrólfsson has translated into English. Paul Hermann and Sigurður H. Pálsson have edited English texts. Guðrún Tryggvadóttir CEO and founder of Nature.is has, a part from writing most of the material published, translated to and from English and German.
