The weather is good

Now Nature.is has added weather forecast to services provided. This is made possible by an intiative of the Institute for Meteorological Office and it's partners. The forecast offers traditonal forecast and recent observations as well as new interactve wind, temperature and precipitation forecast. Many institutions and individuals have made this possible and on the IMO web the main partners are listed:

Weather element forecast are computed by the Institute for Meteorological Research according to a contract to the Icelandic Meteorological Office. The forecasting system was developed in cooperation with the Icelandic Meteorological Office, the Institute for Meteorological Research and the University of Iceland.

Funding was provided by the Roads Authority, the Icelandic Meteorological Office, the Icelandic Civil Aviation Administration, the Icelandic Maritime Administration and the Institute for Meteorological Research.

Nature.is hopes that this will add value to the services provided and be useful to our visitors.
