Green Map® Reykjavik

Green Map® System is a worldwide mapmaking project whos purpose is to promote citizen participation in sustainable community development. You'll find greener companies, products and services as well as cultural activities and natural phenomena throughout the capital area. Questionable companies and dangerous sites are also listed in special categories.

The Green Map® System consists of the three pillars of sustainability; Sustainable Living (blue), Nature (green) and Culture and Society (orange). You choose a category fitting your search by clicking. Then you see the Green Map Icons. By clicking on the Icons or their titles you'll see all registered members on the map and also listed on the right hand side. Icons can be removed by clicking again. By clicking on each one on the map you access information. By clicking on their names on the map or on the list on the right hand side you access even more theral information.

You can choose between several kinds of background maps by clicking on the plus (+) and enlarge the map by clicking the squares on the top right of the map.
