Sponsors of the Recycle Map-app

Nature.is wants to express it's gratitude to those supporting the development of the Reycle Map-App project. Without their help the development of a Recycle Map-App for distiribution free of charge to the general public would not have been possible.

We hope that more firms in the recycling business will also join in and help us bring the Recycle Map-App to the next level, for to catch up with the quick development in waste management in coming years a constant updating will have to follow.

Those that have supported the development of the Recycle Map-App are:

Ministry for the Environment
The Icelandic Recycling Fund

Sorpa bs. - Solid Waste Management of 7 municipalities in South-West Iceland

Environmental fund of Landsbankinn
Gámaþjónustan hf.
Sorpstöð Suðurlands bs. - Waste Management of 13 municipalities in South Iceland

Nature.is greatly appreciates this support!

Those wanting to aid the project please contact us at tel. 483 1500 or write to us at nature@nature.is.

The City of Reykjavík - supports Nature.is

In the summer of 2009, Nature.is entered an idea-competiton for new tourism-services in the city af Reykjavík. Nature.is suggested that the City of Reykjavík would help finance the development of a Green Map Reykjavík and would link the online Green Map Reykjavík on Nature.is from it's Reykjavík's websites. Green Map Reykjavík was one of seven projects winning a prize in the competition which enabled us to map green solutions in the city. The first link to Green Map Reykjavík is to be found on visitreykjavik.is meant to encourage tourists in Reykjavík to make use of green solutions during their visit. The city of Reykjavik supported the Green Map project as we released the  printed version of the Green Map of Reykjavík in 2010 and 2011.

Nature.is has developed Green Map Reykjavík in collaboration with Green Map System® and the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences of the University of Iceland.

The City of Reykjavík supports the current development of the Green Map of Iceland as an application for smartphones.
